1st day - Departure from the points indicated in Autocarro Grande Turismo towards Batalha. Lunch. In the afternoon visit to the city of Batalha, where Portugal's most important battle took place. Visiting the Batalha Monastery (admission included), built in 1386 by King D. João I of Portugal, considered a UNESCO World Heritage Site, was in 2007 one of the 7 wonders of Portugal. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
2nd day - Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning visit to the Sanctuary of Fátima, a place of prayer that welcomes millions of pilgrims from all over the world every year, to praise the Lord and his Mother there with a visit to the Sanctuary, Santíssima Trindade Church. Lunch. In the afternoon, visit Coimbra, passing through the historic center. In the old town is the 12th century Romanesque cathedral, the Old Cathedral. Passing by the University of Coimbra. At the end of the afternoon, travel towards the Mondego pier, to board the Basófias Boat for a 2 hour tour with dinner on board and live entertainment with Fados de Coimbra! Accommodation.
3rd day - Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning visit to the Wax Museum (optional entrance) in Fátima, which reports the main episodes of this great event. Visit to the Fátima Sanctuary Museum (optional entrance), founded in 1955. Lunch. In the afternoon visit to the Mira D’Aire Caves (optional entrance), the largest caves in Portugal and considered one of the 7 Wonders of Portugal. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
4th day - Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning panoramic visit to Tomar, stopping at the convent of Christ, a UNESCO World Heritage Site (entrance included). Continue to Ferreira do Zêzere, arriving at Lago Azul Pier, to board the São Cristóvão Yacht. Journey through the waters of the Zêzere River. Lunch on board, with a varied menu. At 4pm, disembark at Lago Azul. Visit to the village of Dornes, known for being the mythical land of the Templars. Visit to the Templar Tower. Dornes is located on a small peninsula by the Zêzere river. Travel towards Serra da Estrela. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
5th day - Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, visit Belmonte, a historic and medieval village. Passing through the Castle, the Torre Menagem and the Mother Church with Nossa Senhora da Esperança. Lunch. In the afternoon Visit to the charming Serra da Estrela, with free time at the Tower where we are absorbed by the landscape and magnetism that the Serra offers. Stop at Lagoa Comprida where you can dazzle with beautiful scenery and enjoy what the mountains can offer us. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
6th day - Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, visit Covilhã, passing through the historic center, with a glimpse of the Santo António Convent, the Mother Church and the Romantic Chapel of São Martinho. Lunch. In the afternoon, visit the Bread Museum, one of the largest bread museums in the world, to observe the whole process of its manufacture as well as the tools used. I start the return trip with the certainty that I spent unique and unforgettable moments with Naturviagens !!
